Recently, in an interview with Smiles Dental president Dr. Jeromy Dixson and reporter Aaron Corvin from the Columbian newspaper, Dr. Dixson discussed the recent insurance-fee cuts impacts patients and dentists across the state.
These insurance-fee cuts were made by Washington’s largest dental insurance provider, Seattle-based Washington Dental Service.
In the interview, Dr. Dixson said that Smiles Dental patients will remain in-network and keep their out-of-pocket costs low because of their acceptance of the rate cuts. And though the cuts will impact the business revenues, Smiles Dental will focus on cutting expenses in other areas, like their dental lab to continue providing affordable dental care for their patients.
